Great Local Winery
After touring the winery, and meeting Joe the owner I had to visit their store. Country-like feel with other products sold at the store. The goat soap smelled wonderful. However, the wine steals the show, as it should. Aurora is a must try. I think I may be hooked on it. Nice balance of acidity, a hint of sweet, and a surprising pineapple finish. Not meeting Joe I'd still like the place. After meeting Joe and hearing his passion about doing the right thing for people, business, and the environment, this is definitely my new winery favorite. Layer on the products are color and preservative free, and you'd think the wine would be expensive and pretencious. Nope. Most are $12 a bottle. The most expensive is $17. I'd happily pay more for the Aurora. Caution, I'm a sweet wine person, but the Bald Eagle and Vidal Blanc were both too sweet--sample them first.
